FERRAGOSTO

Join us on 15 and 16 August as we celebrate the Italian tradition of Ferragosto, a vibrant summer festival dating back to ancient Rome.

Ferragosto celebrations in Italy with fire and people.

About Ferragosto

With roots stretching back to the Roman Empire, Ferragosto finds its origins in “Feriae Augusti” – the August rest – a pause after weeks of working on the farm. Today, in Rivamonte Agordino residents make the most of the day by heading out into the mountains and catching up with friends and family. At its heart, Ferragosto is about togetherness – and, of course, food. Loved ones gather to celebrate the season’s bounty, sharing the fruits of their labour.

Ferragosto at Da Costa

Join us on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 August for Da Costa’s nod to Italy’s holiday ‘Ferragosto’ – the Somerset way.

We’ll be serving seasonal Italian specials and celebratory cocktails, crafted especially for the occasion, alongside our a la carte menu. We will also be pouring Italian wines by the magnum to toast the festivities.

On Saturday evening, Atsushi Hasegawa takes to the decks, spinning Italian disco on vinyl.

Reservations recommended. Menu coming soon.
